WHAT IS ANDAR BAHAR
The Game I Have Played More Than Any Other at Slot8808
I grew up watching Andar Bahar being played at family gatherings in Delhi — so when I started reviewing online casinos professionally, testing the live version was personal for me. I have now played over 60 sessions of Andar Bahar at Slot8808, across different tables, at different times of day, with varying bet sizes from ₹50 to ₹2,000 per hand.
The rules are exactly what you know from real life: the dealer reveals one Joker card, and you bet whether the matching rank appears on the Andar (left) or Bahar (right) side first. What surprised me when I first played online was how authentic the Evolution Gaming live tables feel — the dealers genuinely speak Hindi and the pace is close to a real card room.
With a 97.85% RTP on the main bet, it is one of the mathematically best games in the live casino. In my 60+ sessions I have had winning runs and losing runs — but the house edge is honest and I never felt the game was unfair.

QUICK FACTS
HOW TO PLAY
Exactly how I explain it to friends who have never played online
JOIN A TABLE
Log in, go to Live Casino, and find Andar Bahar. I always start at the Classic table — it has ₹10 minimum so you can get comfortable without risking much. The lobbies show you how many seats are free before you join.
THE JOKER IS DEALT
The dealer places a single card face-up in the centre — this is your Joker. When I first played, I kept staring at the suit thinking it mattered. It does not. Only the rank matters. A 7 of Hearts is matched by any 7.
PLACE YOUR BET
You have a short window to place your bet on Andar or Bahar. I almost always skip the side bets — their house edge is 7–15% vs 2.15% on the main bet. I learned this the hard way after losing ₹800 on side bets in one session early on.
CARDS ARE DEALT
Cards flip one by one, alternating sides. When a match appears, the round ends and payouts hit your balance instantly. The whole round takes 30–90 seconds. On my fastest session I played 47 hands in an hour.

ANDAR BAHAR TABLE LAYOUT
I used to always bet Bahar because the 1:1 payout felt more satisfying. Then I ran the numbers — over 500 hands the difference in expected value between Andar and Bahar is less than 0.2%. Pick one side and stick to it. I personally play Bahar about 60% of the time out of habit, nothing more.

STRATEGY GUIDE
What I actually do after 60+ sessions — not theory, real habits
STICK TO ONE SIDE
I played my first 10 sessions switching sides every few hands based on "streaks." My results were worse than when I locked in on Bahar and stayed there. The math is identical — but discipline in execution makes a real difference to your session outcome.
AVOID SIDE BETS
I tracked every side bet I placed across 20 sessions: 34 side bets, 6 wins, net loss of ₹1,140. The main bet over the same sessions: net loss of ₹620 on similar total stake. Side bets are fun occasionally, but I only place them when I am up for the session and can afford to experiment.
SET A SESSION BUDGET
My personal rule: I sit down with exactly 40 units. At ₹200 per hand, that is ₹8,000. If it runs out, I close the table. No exceptions. I also set a win target — usually 20 units profit. If I hit ₹4,000 up, I cash out. This is the only thing that has kept me from giving back every winning session.
DON'T CHASE LOSSES
In my second month of testing I tried a Martingale system for 3 sessions to properly document it for this review. Session 1: up ₹1,200. Session 2: up ₹400. Session 3: down ₹6,800 in 22 minutes when I hit a 6-loss streak and the table max stopped the doubling. Do not do it. Each hand is completely independent.
TABLE LIMITS
I have played at all four of these tables — here is what each one is actually like
| Table | Min Bet | Max Bet | Language | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Andar Bahar Classic | ₹10 | ₹50,000 | Hindi / English | 24/7 |
| Andar Bahar High Roller | ₹500 | ₹1,00,000 | English | 24/7 |
| Andar Bahar VIP | ₹1,000 | ₹1,00,000 | Hindi / English | 24/7 |
| Andar Bahar Mobile | ₹10 | ₹25,000 | Hindi / English | 24/7 |
